How does psychotherapy / counselling help? Psychotherapists and counsellors are trained to help people in emotional turmoil, pain or distress to move out of that and make the psychological changes they decide they want to make and ultimately to heal and become more free. What can you expect from me?
- An experienced and highly trained professional
- Warmth and understanding
- Help to make the changes you want to make
- A confidential service
- Space for you, to unpack the things that are causing you pain or difficulty
- A private, comfortable room
What do I do now? Contact me and we can have an informal discussion. At this point you can arrange an initial appointment with me when you can tell me what’s troubling you and we’ll think together about how we will work on that. If you decide that you’d like to go ahead, sessions can be booked in at times and on days convenient to you.
How long is a counselling session? An hour, usually weekly but this can be flexible to suit you.
How many sessions will I need? This is never set in stone as everyone is different.
What are my fees? I charge £60 per hour for individuals and £70 for couples, which is payable by bank transfer or cash at the end of each session.
